John Silva

Biography

John Silva represents clients throughout Massachusetts in matters involving domestic relations, landlord-tenant, civil litigation and criminal defense. John has secured favorable results for his clients in jury and bench trials in the Superior Court, District Court, Housing Court, Land Court, and Probate & Family Court.

John’s entire professional life has been devoted to serving the community. In law school, John worked as a student criminal defense attorney with the Suffolk Defenders, practicing under SJC Rule 3:03. Prior to becoming an attorney, John worked as a paramedic in South Florida, although he decided he wanted to become an attorney as a kid watching John Grisham movies with his grandparents. During law school, John worked full-time as a paralegal assisting with capital murder appeals. During his first year of law school, John was awarded the Suffolk Law Jurisprudence Award for earning the top achievement in criminal law.

A native of Massachusetts, John has been married to his wife, Becky, since 2010. They have two kids and a dog named Chewie. John always strives to give back to the community. He has volunteered his time coaching youth football, basketball, and soccer, and served as a volunteer firefighter. John is also an active member of the Plymouth District Bar Association. In his private life, John enjoys traveling with his family, catching a movie, or cheering on one of Boston’s amazing sports teams.
